If you want to read the parts that are about hating, being angry and whatnot, read the psalms that King David wrote about wanting God to crush his enemies. If you're into legalism and being bound by rules, read the Pentateuch. If you read the words of Jesus, you're not going to find that except for when he's bashing the religious rulers and teachers. And that is only because the religious rulers are leading the common people away from God instead of closer to Him.

Why Bother Writing A Book?

Occasionally people ask me why I am writing a book. They wonder what I would have to say that isn't in the Bible. The plain and simple truth of it is that people don't read the Bible or if they do they ignore the parts that are difficult, uncomfortable, or hard to obey. People who claim to follow Christ seem to ignore almost every command that Jesus ever spoke. I believe people can change.
